The important thing with any pellet grill/smoker is to only use BBQ Hardwood pellets. Don't be tempted with using Softwood heating fuel pellets, you'll regret it.

With any brand of BBQ pellets, you ideally want to sieve them of dust before loading them into the pellet hopper. As excessive pellet dust can impact the efficency/temperature accuracy of the pellet fire and how well the controller performs.
