All of the standard Camp Chef Woodwind models have direct-flame access. However, the Woodwind Pro (with the Smoke Box) does not have direct-flame access as Camp Chef had to remove the feature due to the introduction of the Smoke Box.

The Apex models don’t have direct flame access from the pellet burn pot. However, at they are pellet/gas combo grills they don’t need the feature to provide a grate with surface temperatures around 650 degrees plus.

To double-check which Camp Chef pellet grills have the direct-flame access feature with our Database, first select Camp Chef from the brands drop-down, then use the drop-down for ‘Direct Flame?’ and select Yes.
