Sure! You can use any brand of hardwood BBQ pellets in any brand of pellet grill/smoker, including a Traeger. With any brand of pellets you'll ideally sieve the pellets of dust before loading them into the hopper.

You can also test the quality of BBQ pellets with the snap test. If they snap cleanly into two pieces they have a good density and have not taken on moisture. If they have a nice surface shine that is also an indication that they have a good density. 

Bear Mountain pellets are good value, but they are not always the lowest price per lb depending on the pellet flavor you're looking for.
