The Timberline XL is currently the most expensive Traeger pellet grill/smoker on the market with a typical price point around $3,800. That's obviously a lot of money to spend on a BBQ, therefore a question you may be thinking is it is worth that price point?

Well, personally, I do think that the Timberline XL is against some tough competition at that price point as you can see for yourself by using our database (link below).

While the Timberline XL does feature stainless steel internals, it isn't stainless steel on the outside, which there are other pellet grills/smokers at that price point that are.

While the Timberline XL gets an induction hob for searing in cast-iron pans the maximum temperature of the pellet grill itself is only 500 degrees. There are many pellet grills at a cheaper price point that can reach 600 to 700 degrees.

In terms of cooking area, a total of 1,320 square inches is not small, but again, there are many pellet grills/smokers at a cheaper price point that offer more space.
