Step 1: The ingredients include 48 ounces of Green Beans, a tin of Cream of Mushroom Soup, 4 ounces of finely diced White Onion, 8 ounces of sliced Button Mushrooms, half a cup of Heavy Cream, 1 ounce of Sherry Wine, 4 ounces of grated Parmesan Cheese and some seasoning which we’ll discuss below.
Step 2: To prepare this Green Bean Casserole you’re going to want a large mixing bowl and spatula. First, the sliced Button Mushrooms, finely diced White Onion, Heavy Cream, and Sherry went into the bowl.
Step 3: Next the large tin of Green Beans went in. However, you’ll want to drain the tin of liquid before hand.
Step 4: The tin of Cream of Mushroom Soup was then added in ready for the final ingredients, the seasonings.
Step 5: The first seasoning that was applied to this Green Bean Casserole was around 2 tablespoons of the Recteq Freakin Greak Rub which is a mixture of Salt, Pepper, Garlic, Oregano, Coriander, Cardamom, Marjoram, Thyme, and Nutmeg.
Step 6: The second seasoning that was applied was around a tablespoon of Recteq’s Ben’s Heffer Dust which is a mixture of Salt, Pepper, Garlic, Ancho Chili Powder, Smoked Paprika, Granulated Onion, and Parsley.
Step 7: It was then simply a case of using the spatula and brining all the ingredients of this Green Bean Casserole together.
Step 8: Before the casserole was loaded into the 9×13 baking dish, it was hit with a good application of non-stick spray, as it will make the life of the person cleaning this dish after the casserole has gone a whole lot easier.
Step 9: Its then time to load the Green Bean Casserole into the baking dish ready to go into the oven/pellet smoker.
Step 10: It is a good idea to spend a little time with the spatula to smooth out the casserole mixture to reduce burnt bits.
Step 11: The Green Bean Casserole was then loaded into the pellet smoker which was preheated to 350 degrees. The casserole was then left to cook for 45 minutes.
Step 12: After 45 minutes, the Green Bean Casserole was finished cooking and some fried onions were dressed over the top for a nice bit of presentation and additional flavor and texture. Fantastic!
