With the Recteq Deck Boss 590 and the Traeger Pro 575, these are two pellet grills that have very similar price points, $899 for the Recteq and $799 for the Traeger.

So the Recteq is the more expensive option. However, its also superior to the Traeger in several metrics. For instance, the Recteq features a stainless steel cooking chamber, whereas the Traeger is just painted carbon steel.

When it comes to maximum temperature settings, the Deck Boss 590 can be set up to 750 degrees, whereas the maximum setting on the Pro 575 is 500 degrees. Therefore, when it comes to grilling the Recteq is far more capable than the Traeger.

The Recteq also features a much larger pellet hopper (30 lbs) compared to that fitted to the Traeger (18 lbs). Therefore, while yes the Recteq is the more expensive option I would argue that the additional $100 is well worth the improvements.
