Example Question:
What's the difference between the Traeger Pro 22 and the Pro 575?
The Traeger Pro 22 and the Pro 575 are both part of the Traeger Pro Series range. However, the Pro 22 is a first-generation model and the Pro 575 is a second-generation model.
The advantages of the Pro 575 are that it features a more advanced controller that runs a PID algorithm for temperature control with 5-degree temperature adjustment. It also gets WiFi (WiFire) connectivity.
The Pro 575 also has a bump up with its maximum temperature setting of 500 degrees compared to a maximum of 450 degrees on the Pro 22.
However, these improvements do come at a cost. You have to pay an additional $300 over the Pro 22 for the Pro 575 and in terms of cooking area, both models are identical.
I should also note, that the Pro 575 has no dedicated smoke settings. Therefore, while it has better temperature accuracy than the Pro 22, it will actually produce less smoke.
