The Weber Searwood 600 and the Searwood XL 600 represent the latest generation of Weber pellet grills and smokers and they are a notable improvement over the previous SmokeFire generation.

When it comes to the differences between the Searwood 600 and the Searwood XL 600 its purely a difference in size. There is no difference in terms of the features/capabilties of these two pellet grills/smokers.

Moving up from the Searwood 600 to the XL 600 gets you an additional 324 sq.in in overall cooking area and an increase of 210 sq.in on the main grate. The price however jumps by $300 which is quite a lot for a relatively modest increase in cooking area.

Therefore, personally, unless you really need that extra space, I would opt for the smaller model (Searwood 600) as you'll have lower pellet usage due to the smaller cooking chamber.
