Hi, I’m Chris. About Me

When you’re pushed for time and you cannot play around with smoking your ribs you just need to get some food on the table, then this one hour hot and fast ribs cook is for you. Now, granted, its only the cooking of the ribs which takes an hour at 400 degrees. The day/night before you do need to spend a little time preparing a sauce to marinade the ribs overnight.

Step 1: The starting point for this one hour ribs recipe is to crush up 3 cloves of Garlic.
Step 2: You’re going to want to have a small saucepan ready on a medium to high heat to prepare the sauce, which contains 1/2 cup of Soy Sauce, 1/2 Water, 6 tbsp of Brown Sugar, 2 tbsp Honey, 2 tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce and 2 tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar and stir together.
Step 3: For this recipe, the rib sauce was also hit with a good couple of shakes of Recteq Jody’s Asian Persuasion Rub which contains Granulated Honey, Salt, Pepper, Garlic, Ginger, Coriander and Sriracha Powder.
Step 4: To be able to cook ribs in one hour, you’ve got to split them up. Therefore, after removing the membrane get a sharp knife and start to cut them up.
Step 5: Then place all the ribs in a one-gallon zip lock bag and add in the cooled sauce (really, the sauce has to be cool before you do this). Then place it in the fridge and leave for at least four hours. Heck, doing this the night before makes the most sense.
Step 6: This is what the ribs looked like after marinating in the sauce overnight. You can tell how well the marinade has penetrated into the ribs.
Step 7: Before the ribs went on the grill (pre-heated to 400 degrees) they were hit with a coating of the Recteq Jody’s Asian Persuasion Rub.
Step 8: On the grill at 400 degrees these ribs were cooking rapidly over an hour. You’ll want to keep an eye on them and move them around/turn them over two to three times during the cook.
Step 9: When the hour was up this is what the ribs looked like. They had developed a deep color from the marinade and the rub, with a little bit of a char.
Step 10: If you want to make their presentation a little nicer on the plate, sprinkle over some chopped Peppers and Scallions. Fantastic!
